Italian Heritage Night at the Mariner’s Game – First Pitch Thrown by Vince Mottola

I just got confirmation that I will be representing the Italian community by throwing out the first pitch at the Mariners game tomorrow night. What a great honor – I sure hope I can get the ball over the plate! If you’re interested in going to the game and supporting the M’s and wondering if I’m going to make it on the Worst Ceremonial First Pitches List here is the ticket info:

Chair Lift to Anacapri

One of the many highlights of our Rome, Sorrento, Naples, Capri, and more trip is a breathtaking chairlift ride to the top of Mount Solaro, the highest point on Capri at 1,932 feet. In the charming Piazza della Vittoria the group ascends from the chairlift station reaching the top quite quickly while enjoying a splendid view of Anacapri and the Gulf of Naples. Once the group has landed they expereince a complex of belvederes (with bars and solariums) including the remains of the “Fortino di Bruto”, a blockhouse built in the early 19th century during the battles between England and France.
